Appendix K: Authoring Cycle PowerPoint

This is a PowerPoint presentation of a unit construction technique created in collaboration with Ms. Margaret Tarbox for EDU 545.
It illustrates a fully-integrated, constructivist approach to lesson design, as well multiple aspects of technological application in the classroom. This particular version of the presentation has been incorporated into my school’s new social-studies driven Language Arts curriculum and reflects a relatively new application of technology for engaging students in the writing process: blogging. With this aspect, and planning for grouping and multiple outcomes, this unit also dispalys knowledge and application of Differentiated Instruction.
